Dispatcher

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely delivery of freight. This position requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with logistics software to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily driver dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate routing of shipments and deliveries.
• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and driver activities.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, improve service levels, and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and other departments to resolve any issues related to freight delivery.
• Assist in transportation planning by coordinating schedules and managing resources effectively.
• Maintain communication with all stakeholders throughout the shipping process to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in logistics dispatching
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess transportation operations and make informed decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with drivers, team members and customers.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues as they arise
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and trucking industry standards
