JOB SUMMARY:
The Induction role is responsible for loading and unloading Locus robots with totes for picking or cartons for replenishment, verifying label content, sorting by box size, and applying pick tickets to shipping cartons. These tasks ensure that each customer order is ready for processing and loaded onto the main automated conveyor line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):
- Works with the supervisors to understand all functions of the position and prepare to handle those as needed.
- Scans and puts totes or cartons onto Locus robots and denotes which position on the robot each tote/carton is loaded by use of the robot tablet.
- Unloads completed totes and places them on the conveyor for scanning and packing list printing.
- Unloads cartons at replenishment drop-off when cases return due to full location issues and places them on a pallet.
- Places pick ticket labels on designated shipping cartons and inducts them to the main conveyor line for order shipment.
- Compiles daily reports as instructed.
- Assists with ongoing location slotting of SKUs by performing replenishment tasks and moving items systemically.
- Supports other DC areas to facilitate customer order processing, including replenishment, receiving, picking, truck loading, Global ship confirmation, and slotting.
- Builds open carton inventory in all sizes as needed for labeling and order processing.
- Matches printed pick lists to ticket labels when necessary and cancels/reprints customer orders as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Computer skills and the ability to operate a scanner and tablet.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
