What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety, Health & Risk Manager position at Autobell Car Wash, LLC?
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management and compliance of all team member safety programs. Partner with other leaders to ensure a safe environment for team members and customers. Provide support and guidance to all team members within a supportive learning environment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that safety programs are continuously improving for the betterment of our company, team members, and customer experience.
- Remain up to date with current state and federal environmental compliance and OSHA regulations applicable to the car wash industry.
- Partner with the human resources team to ensure culture and brand are maintained.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate and inform team members on work safety, environmental safety, and incident prevention procedures. This encompasses the entire team member lifecycle - including all educational materials from online training to in-person training sessions.
- Partner with store managers and district managers to investigate incidents – team members and customers. Make appropriate recommendations and develop training to prevent a recurrence.
- Partner with Directors of Operations, District Managers, and Store Managers to ensure their needs are met and all necessary safety training is up to date, completed, and documented.
- Provide coaching to managers to effectively handle safety and environmental issues as needed.
- Maintain Job Safety Analyses for each job and conduct periodic reviews to identify changes.
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment requirements are up to date and brief leadership on findings in order to protect employees from workplace hazards.
- Lead and facilitate the monthly safety committee meeting, including developing the agenda, and training materials, selecting committee members from the field, and scheduling of meetings.
- Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes. Provides recommendations for corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance with established regulations.
- Manage all inspection programs relating to boilers, fire systems, sprinklers, and fire hydrants to ensure compliance.
- Manage the hazard communication program along with providing guidance, support, and training for new chemical products and processes.
- Partner with external consultants, brokers, and services to ensure all goals of the captive program are met.
- Primary point of contact with local, state, and federal authorities when there are situations involving OSHA and environmental.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, conferences, and training sessions to obtain information useful to company safety operations and use that information to refine the safety training program.
- Maintain accurate records and document all processes.
- Perform similar, related administrative duties as assigned.
