Accountant

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a technology solutions client in Grand Rapids, MI who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for an Accountant career who are ready to start immediately. The ideal candidate will be able to manage financial reporting, oversee general ledger operations, and assist with budgeting and forecasting, among other key responsibilities.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and month-end/year-end closings
• Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial regulations
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure tax compliance and reporting

Accountant Qualifications:
To be considered for the Accountant position, applicants should:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field)
• Possess 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Be proficient in financial reporting, GAAP, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ConnectWise)
• Have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
