Job Summary:

- Facilitates appointments for CMG surgical procedures as well as providing pre/post procedure information to patients and families. Schedules OR, coordinates room and assisting needs for procedure. Serves as support to patients and CPA/CMH providers. Obtain authorizations/prior approvals for procedures as required by insurance companies.
- In collaboration with practice leadership provides day-to-day guidance and coordination of patient care services. Provides assistance to the practice manager by performing administrative and clinical duties to include directing, supervising, and coordinating of clinical and non-clinical staff. Facilitates and supports activities to deliver quality care and effective operations of assigned physician outpatient practice.

Education:

Minimum of a high school education, Associates Degree in healthcare related field preferred.

Position requires 1-2 years related experience.

Other Requirements:

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Computer data entry experience preferred. Medical Office procedure to include insurance approvals and procedure scheduling required as well as medical terminology. Ability to multi-task at one time essential.Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of customer service/administrative or clinical support and supervisory experience, preferably in ambulatory care or physician practice setting. Supervisory experience may include official or unofficial roles with exposure to management assignments, where leadership skillset is evident.
