Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in guiding and overseeing the organization's strategic direction and decision-making processes. This is a volunteer position with a commitment to making a positive impact in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Attend regular board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes
- Provide guidance and support to the organization's leadership team
- Review and approve organizational policies, budgets, and strategic plans
- Act as an ambassador for the organization, promoting its mission and values
- Assist in fundraising efforts and donor cultivation
- Collaborate with other board members to ensure effective governance practices
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements
Experience:
- Previous experience serving on a board or committee is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of technology, investment management, and other fiduciary responsibilities are beneficial
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Experience with underserved populations is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
