Community Associates, a program of the Counseling Service of Addison County, is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to help people with developmental disabilities as Direct Support Professionals. Direct Support Professionals support people one on one in community and job settings. You will help them gain more independence, build social and communication skills, and foster a community they can call their own.
Flexibility, patience, dependability, and great judgement are important qualities to be successful in this job. If you have fantastic mentoring skills, that's a bonus!
Community and job supports happen during the daytime hours on weekdays. Part-time and full-time hours available at $19/hour. HS diploma/equivalent, good driving record, and clean background required. Use of personal vehicle and the specified level of auto insurance coverage needed.
