Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently clearing snow and ice from designated areas to ensure safe access for vehicles and pedestrians. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of snow removal equipment effectively.
Duties
- Operate snow plows and related equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and sidewalks.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing blades, and ensuring all machinery is in safe working condition.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools as necessary for snow removal tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize areas for snow removal based on safety needs and accessibility.
- Monitor weather conditions to anticipate snowfall and prepare equipment accordingly.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding equipment status and any issues encountered during operations.
- May turn into year-round work in our lawn care and landsaping divisons.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with a minimum of 3 years of experience in operating pick-up truck mounted snow plows or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in snow maintenance tasks.
- Previous experience in lawn care or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work long hours during snow events, including early mornings or late nights as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus. Clean driving record is required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform strenuous tasks in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
