What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Architect - Jr. Level position at EMCO Technologies?
Position Summary: Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following in addition to other duties that may be assigned.
- Establish network amongst the systems as per the guidance and design specification given by the network managers or network admin
- Understand the requirements of the organization and report the need for change or up-gradation in the network to the manager
- Troubleshoot all kinds of network and peripheral issues and all kinds of network connectivity problems
- Install and upgrade the systems with malware protection software, firewalls, back-up & recovery hardware and other peripheral devices
- Collect the specifications of each system and maintain a record of the same which can help to troubleshoot easily
- Plan and monitor client server projects to include specification requirements, upgrades, warehousing, installation and configuration

Experience in Veeam and/or Acronis backups software platforms and Network Attached Storage (NAS) hardware devices. Other specific experience in IP addressing and subnetting, DNS functions, DHCP, server-building/configuring and configuration t-shooting beyond just the basic settings are highly desirable. This person must be able to work independently with minimal structure and who has great troubleshooting skills and is resourceful in resolving their own problems. Prefer someone who has had >1 year experience with the above in an industrial (petrochemical) setting, but not required.
Industrial operational technology (OT) computer systems backups management (NAS hardware and NAS management software Veeam and Acronis), and general hardware (Honeywell DCS equipment, Dell servers, Cisco switches, various NAS hardware types) and various software, and DCS hardware spare parts custodian.
