Job Description:
As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will take a hands-on approach to overseeing all financial aspects of our business. Your responsibilities will include accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key operational functions like WIP (Work in Progress) and payroll.
You will collaborate closely with management and project teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency across all levels of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms and discounts.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal company policies.
- Oversee project accounting and job cost tracking.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure precise job costing and financial reporting for construction/HVAC projects.
- Utilize Deltek accounting software to streamline and enhance financial operations.
- Develop and implement processes for job-cost and cost-code level tracking and reporting.
- Provide support for audits and tax preparation.
Qualifications:
- Associate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper in the construction or HVAC industry.
- Proficiency in Deltek accounting software is required.
- Strong understanding of job costing, payroll (including certified or union payroll), and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Microsoft Office, Word and Strong Excel Skills
