Family Connections, Inc. is looking for an energetic and professional person to join our team as a front office administrative assistant.
Duties include:
- Answering multiple phone lines, directing calls to appropriate professionals, taking referrals for services.
- Greeting clients into the office and providing initial paperwork to new clients prior to start of session
- Scheduling of initial appointments for new clients for in-office therapy.
- Send authorizations to pharmacies, as well as, follow up with pharmacies and clients
- Organize patient information, insurance paperwork, and patient file management while closely following and monitoring HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Greet patients and assist them as necessary with check-in and check-out for the Nurse Practitioner and therapists.
- Perform administrative tasks including photocopying, electronic medical records maintenance, faxing authorizations, and scheduling
- Other duties as assigned.
Must have:
- Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Google Docs/Calendar
- Professional demeanor and attitude
- Ability to problem solve and ask appropriate questions for clients calling in to office
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Experience with electronic medical records a plus
- Knowledge of insurance and customer service a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service skills
**Prefer someone who has Medication Aide or Medical Record experience**
Salary:
- $17.50/hr
- $17.75/hr after 30 days
- $18.00/hr after 90 days
