We are seeking an experienced HR professional who enjoys the generalist function of Human Resources and have a variety of skills including recruitment and hiring, compensation and benefits administration, policy development, employee relations, and HR/payroll systems and records.
Position Summary:
Job Location: This is an onsite position in Oak Park, IL.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Exempt Status $80,000 to $90,000 per year

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5 years' experience in human resources, HR certification preferred
- Prior work in an educational setting or non-profit organization is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with others
- Highly organized and very adept at database management
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal targeting the needs of the audience; experience in benefits communication as well as the ability to craft and communicate broad organizational messages
- Solid negotiation skills and the ability to sustain a positive work environment
- Capable of strong, active listening with the ability to give full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Experience with Paylocity preferred, strong proficiency Google apps and Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
