Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a vital role in managing and processing all incoming invoices and payments for Givens Warehouse. You will work closely with the finance team and vendors to ensure accurate and timely payments while maintaining strong records of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and verify expense reports, ensuring they align with company policies.
• Prepare and maintain accounts payable records.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and other creditors.
• Reconcile accounts payable to the general ledger.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or billing issues.
• Handle and track expense reports and credit card transactions.
• Assist with audits and other accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and a proactive problem solver.
