Job Title: IT Support Technician
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: IT Manager
Basic Function:
Responsible for assisting in installation, configuration, and maintenance of the operating system and company owned software on all servers and workstations. Assist with studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required. Assist and ensures that all electronic data is secured and routinely backed up. Assist and maintains library of all software, hardware and supporting documentation. Assist and helps all employees resolve computer related issues. Makes recommendations for computer related training, when applicable. Assist with malfunctioning equipment and diagnosing the problem and resolve the issue. Provides assistance to computer users, troubleshoot problems, provide solutions, provide technical support via phone or in person. Assist with computer hardware, solutions, and system administrator, as well as other IT related items.
Corporate Responsibilities:
* Assist IT Managers in making new software selections.
* Creates reports as required by department managers.
* Provides training.
* Helps employees resolve computer related issues.
* Assist to monitor servers.
* Set up workstations, trouble shoot IT issues.
* Assist to manage/update software.
* Assist with network upgrades.
* Create labels in the software.
* Create reports and update current reports.
* Assist to upgrade server room.
* Assist with IT day-to-day IT work.
Departmental Responsibilities:
* Assist to ensure data is secure.
* Assist to ensure data is backed up
* Assist to ensure software is kept up to date.
* Assist and performs routine maintenance on servers and workstations.
* Assist IT Manager to makes recommendations for Hardware and Software upgrades.
Global Responsibilities:
* Creates reports as required by department managers
Secondary Responsibilities:
* Adhere to all company procedures and guidelines.
Authorities:
* Perform system and network shutdowns.

Qualifications:
Associates degree in an IT related field. Knowledge of computer hardware and devices, Microsoft operating systems and software, ERP systems and report writing software. Experience with system administrator functions. Knowledge and experience with servers. Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Server Software, MS Office 365 Suite Experience and Microsoft Active Directory experience required. Experience in manufacturing systems preferred. Must have mobile device management experience for Apple and Android. Strong work ethic and dedication.
