What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Secrecy Act Analyst I position at HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform daily, periodic, and annual compliance functions, including:
Preparing and electronically filing CTRs and SARs
Monitoring excessive current transactions and shared branching reports
Reviewing member accounts for CIP and OFAC purposes
Monitoring possible fraudulent activities.
Provide technical knowledge assistance to various business units as needed
Ensure policies, procedures, and related forms meet regulatory requirement and timeframes
Maintain a good understanding of industry standards relative to the credit union’s size and incorporate this knowledge into long-term goals and organizational initiatives.
Ensure manual updates and revisions comply with National Credit Union Administration’s Rules and Regulations.
Stay updated on BSA regulatory and compliance issues through continuous review and training.
Assist branches and departments with BSA-related problem resolution and provide on-site support for operational processes as designated by the BSA/AML Manager or designate.
Assist the BSA/AML Manager or designate with ensuring compliance with BSA/AML, US Patriot Act, OFAC, and CIP programs using selected software programs.
Assist with various projects and assignments as directed by the BSA/AML Managr or designate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Two-year associates degree or equivalent related job experience, preferred.
One to three years performing Bank Secrecy Act or related functions
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Ability to make sound and reasonable decisions applicable to business unit’s successful operation
Ability to be multi-tasked with the ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external members at all levels
Ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
High level of confidentiality, ethics, and sound business judgement.
Detail oriented.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include before/after normal work hours, weekends and holidays.
Able to travel to the neighbor islands and out of state as needed.
Ability to work in alternate locations or remotely as required or assigned.
Able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 40 pounds

The expected pay range for the Bank Secrecy Act Analyst is $19.52 - $24.40 /hour.
