The Clinical and Mental Health Counseling department has an opening for an adjunct instructor. Under the direction of the Program Director, the instructor provides instruction for classroom and/or laboratory settings in coordination with the established course and program objectives.

Work Schedule: This is a part-time, exempt adjunct position.

Qualifications
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a strong desire to serve others, and a commitment to being a faithful steward of University resources
- Commitment towards the integration of Christian faith in teaching and practice
- Experience and understanding of Christian higher education
- Successful experience in teaching at the university level
- Participate and identify with the counseling profession through sustained memberships in professional counseling organizations.
- Maintain certifications and/or licenses related to the counseling profession and specialty area(s); candidates should be fully licensed
- Strong clinical supervision preparation and ability
- Show evidence of sustained professional development and renewal activities related to counseling; professional service and advocacy in counseling; research and scholarly activity in counseling commensurate with their faculty role.
- Education, Experience and Licensure:
- Required Education: Master’s degree in counseling or related field
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, or in the process of earning a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision. Ideally the candidate has an earned doctorate (Ph.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program)
- Required Experience: At least 5 years of teaching experience in course being taught and/or at least 5 years of specialized experience in the counseling or related field
- Required Licensure: For faculty supervisors teaching practicum/internship courses, candidates must be fully licensed in the counseling field for a minimum of 2 years (LMHC, LCPC, LPC, etc.)
- Preferred Licensure: Candidates should be fully licensed in the counseling field for a minimum of 2 years (LMHC, LCPC, LPC, etc.)
- Candidates will be reviewed based on their qualifications for specific courses that they will teach.
- Teach course assignments depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s education and experience
- Attend monthly department meetings and other meetings as needed
- Collaborate with course coordinator(s) and program directors as it relates to the teaching of the course(s) assigned
