Position Overview:
Huntsville College Preparatory School (HCPS) seeks an enthusiastic and creative Middle School English Teacher to guide students in grades 7-8. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading, writing, and language while supporting the unique needs of students, including those with learning differences. With small class sizes and a student-centered approach, the teacher will create engaging lessons that develop literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a comprehensive English Language Arts curriculum aligned with state and school standards.
- Teach foundational and advanced skills in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary development.
- Introduce students to diverse literary genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama.
- Encourage creativity and critical thinking through writing assignments, group discussions, and projects.
- Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students, including those with learning differences.
- Regularly assess student progress using assignments, quizzes, projects, and participation, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that celebrates student diversity and promotes collaboration.

Qualifications:
