DOE L Cleared - Computer and Furniture Relocation Specialist

Requirements: Must possess a DOE L Clearance

Company Overview: At Innovative Moving Systems, in service of our SNL Contract, we specialize in delivering high-quality logistics services, including moving, furniture installation, computer disconnect/reconnect, and event set up.

Role Overview: As an IMS SNL Computer and Furniture relocation specialist you will be responsible for the day to day relocations of SNL personnel items, computers, and event set up and teardown. You must possess or have the ability to reinstate a DOE - L Clearance.

You will be operating IMS 16' box trucks, crew vans, and pick up trucks driving throughout the Labs property servicing SNL employees and their needs to relocate throughout the labs. You will also perform work at our offisite furniture storage warehouse picking up furniture and equipment for delivery to the labs.

You must be able to work within a computer program to close out work tickets, observe the move schedule, and prep for upcoming work. You must also have general knowledge of computers and the ability to navigate basic programs on a desktop computer

The role is 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Coordination: Engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction throughout the moving process.
• Team Leadership: Direct and manage crew members to complete tasks on time and within budget.
• Safety and Compliance: Uphold safety standards and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Logistics and Driving: Drive to various locations, handling items of varying sizes and weights, and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
• Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and stored properly.

Schedule:

• Full-time position with a flexible schedule.
• Typically, Mon-Fri 7a-4p

Essential Functions:

• Leading crew to complete projects/Moving items of various sizes and weights (55%)
• Working on the computer closing work orders and preparing for upcoming work (20%)
• Driving to and from locations (20%)
• Cleaning trucks and facilities (5%)

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in group meetings and training exercises.
• Engage in one-on-one development meetings with managers.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Credentials: DOE L Clearance
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years working in logistics.
• Skills: Strong leadership, customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
• Specialized Knowledge: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; basic set of tools.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Education: Some college or technical training.
• Experience: 2-3 years leading teams of 3 people.
• Skills: Experience in building and installing furniture; driving box trucks, hooking up computers.
• Specialized Knowledge: Thorough understanding of tools and building aptitude.

Working Conditions:

• 50% of work is outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Physical labor required, including lifting items up to 75 lbs independently.
• Uniform: Blue work pants, safety-toed work boots (shirt provided by IMS).
