Compliance Specialist

Intercap Lending is seeking a skilled Compliance Specialist to join our compliance team. This individual will focus on managing and monitoring compliance related to marketing practices, vendor relationships, and fair lending regulations. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all marketing materials and vendor relationships comply with regulatory standards and that the company operates in a manner consistent with federal and state fair lending laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve marketing materials (advertisements, online campaigns, promotional content) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and assess compliance risks related to marketing practices, ensuring alignment with federal regulations (e.g., Truth in Advertising, UDAAP).
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all marketing practices meet industry best practices and comply with legal and regulatory standards.
• Conduct due diligence and ongoing monitoring of third-party vendors to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the procurement and legal teams to develop and maintain vendor agreements that include compliance requirements.
• Ensure that vendors follow fair lending standards and do not engage in practices that could result in non-compliance.
• Monitor the company’s lending practices to ensure compliance with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), and other fair lending laws.
• Assist in drafting, updating, and maintaining company policies and procedures related to mortgage compliance.
• Work with internal departments to resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies that arise during the mortgage process.

Qualifications:

o Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.

o 3 years of experience in compliance, regulatory, mortgage, or vendor management roles.

o Strong knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations

o Understanding of vendor risk management.

o Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

o Ability to interpret and apply regulations in a practical, business-oriented way.

o Effective communication skills with the ability to train and influence others.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
