About the job
Our Finance team is looking for a Summer Intern to work in the area of Procurement! JMP Procurement is responsible for supporting the Finance team by identifying spend needs, moving requests through the proper channels and approvals, and ensuring the right goods and services are being acquired at the right time and at the right price. We are currently building up the Procurement function to allow expenditure transactions to be paid out of JMP systems. Our focus is to make the transition from contracting through SAS to contracting directly with JMP.
As a Summer Intern you will:
- Administer and manage a Marketing contract for JMP event planning and registration platform.
- Manage and coordinate requirements and negotiation responses to facilitate contract signature.
- Ensure all stakeholders are properly engaged for operational and financial performance.
- Monitor and oversee implementation of the Marketing platform.
- Collaborate with internal staff and vendor to manage deliverables and deadlines to ensure contract compliance.
- Monitor, track and report on implementation progress, escalating as needed.
- Establish a reporting mechanism to keep all stakeholders informed.
Required Qualifications:
- Current college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2025.
- Strong interest in finance, procurement and business.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Timeline:
- Applications open: January 2025
- Interviews begin: January 2025 on a rolling basis.
- Internship: May 20 – August 8, 2025. If your university is on a quarter system, we can be flexible on start date.
