Job Description Summary | The Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Lewis University invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology. This is a full-time, tenure track appointment. All areas of expertise within the discipline will be considered. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. |

Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. -Developing and teaching didactic academic courses in the SLP curriculum, including undergraduate prerequisite and graduate courses. -Developing and executing a line of scholarly research that results in dissemination of knowledge. -Participation in clinical education of SLP students, scholarly projects and community outreach. -Completing service to the program, college, university and our profession. -Recording assessment data regarding student achievement at midterm and end of each semester. -Participation in departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other meetings or events, as required. |
Minimum Qualifications | Earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related area, and be able to demonstrate a significant record of university teaching experience, clinical experience and expertise, and scholarship. Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and must hold or be eligible for the Illinois state speech-language pathology license. |
