About the Inside sales representative position

Are you an eager sales professional adept at hunting for new business and achieving or exceeding sales goals? The Inside Sales Representative will hunt for new business, call on renewals, follow up on inquiries from potential customers and be key to helping the Sales Team reach its overall sales goals. The ideal candidate for this position will have sales or telephone sales experience.

The Inside Sales Representative will work remotely from their home office in one of these locations: northern Pennsylvania, New York (outside of New York City), New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware. The Inside Sales Representative will sell our services to commercial and healthcare facilities in Pennsylvania, New York (not including New York City), New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware. The Inside Sales Representative will report to the Director of Sales for the East.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Completes intensive sales training, learning all company services.
  • Hunts for new business, calls on renewals, follows up on inquiries with the goal of aggressively closing business in northern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York (with the exception of New York City), Connecticut, Delaware and New Jersey.
  • Strives to understand and meet the needs of customers in northern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York State (with the exception of New York City), Connecticut and Delaware
  • Ability to backfill sales duties for any member of the Sales Team.
  • Achieves or exceeds sales quotas and other company sales goals.
  • Regularly updates the Director of Sales for the East on progress towards achieving sales goals
  • Consults with subject matter experts in Code and Compliance, Operations and other parts of the company on LSS services
  • Process sales orders and complete Purchasing Work Orders paying attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience & Requirements

  • Motivated by selling and the opportunity to earn commissions.
  • Commitment to learning the facility safety business and thriving in selling the company’s services.
  • Some familiarity with CRM, particularly Hubspot.
  • Comfortable making sales calls as well as some sales support work.
  • Demonstrated success selling via the telephone.
  • Some experience selling services preferred.        
  • Proficient in using MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate effectively with various level of management, other staff, customers and outside vendors.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

 

EDUCATION / TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • 2 years of successful sales experience.
  • Experience selling services preferred
