A Day in the Life of an Accounts Receivable Analyst
Are you ready to dive into the numbers and keep our financial records in top shape? Our Accounts Receivable Analysts play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of our invoicing and financial data. In this role, you’ll process and manage invoices, verify data, and work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy, you’ll fit right in with our dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage invoices for all shipments promptly and accurately.
- Verify and reconcile invoices to ensure data accuracy.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices.
- Enter orders, perform EDI daily processes, and enter cash receipts as part of the Order to Cash team.
- Partner with other teams to drive process improvements.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions for automating processes.
- Prepare documentation to create Credit or Debit Memo requests from Customer Care to reconcile customer accounts daily.
- Answer customer inquiries about invoices and research discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
- Calculate and process rebates on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.
- Cross-train across the team’s processes.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least three years’ experience with accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash receipts, EDI, and order entry.
- Intermediate Excel capabilities are a must.
Summary of Necessary Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- At least three years’ experience working in an office environment with order processing or invoicing.
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Must be meticulous and understand the importance of performing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Team player who works well with others to achieve the common goal of making Lodge the best company possible.
