The Mary T Family of Companies is seeking a full-time Referral and Outreach Director!
The Referral and Outreach Director will act as the primary contact for referral sources, families and potential people we may serve to provide information and service options offered by The Mary T Family of Companies. The Referral and Outreach Director will identify appropriate candidates for Supportive Living openings and facilitate the process as they are filled.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC JOB DUTIES
- Field phone calls and emails from potential and current referral sources and customers.
- Provide information on openings and services offered.
- Arrange and lead tours with interested parties.
- Ensure that locations are suitable for tours.
- Facilitate the referral assessments, including discussions with various internal decision makers to determine how and if each individual’s needs can be met/appropriate fit for location.
- Conduct roommate matching meetings.
- Complete admission paperwork, including billing information and work closely with MTI accounting team.
- Facilitate a successful transition for referrals by ensuring supervisors and staff are knowledgeable of the referral’s needs and preferences.
- Work with the marketing team to identify and place advertisements as needed.
- Represent the organization at vendor fairs, conferences, county meetings and other outreach opportunities in the community.
SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position, generally daytime hours, with potential for occasional evening or weekend tours/meetings.
LOCATION/TRAVEL:
This position will be primarily based in an office setting in Coon Rapids, MN, however will require travel to our group homes located throughout the Twin Cities metro area.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field such as psychology, sociology or social work preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
- Valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 4 years of prior experience in a group home setting or working with individuals with disabilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Overall knowledge of the social service system is needed. This includes funding types, State of MN rate management system, disability knowledge, social security and other benefits, and resources available in the community.
- Approaches work using person-centered philosophy and person-first language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adjust communication styles as needed for audience.
- Thoughtful and thorough decision making, problem solving and forecasting for best possible scenarios for persons served
- Uses a customer service focus and represent the organization to many audiences including county case managers, families, people we serve and advocacy organizations.
- Basic computer skills
