Position: Human Resources Manager
Classification: Salary, Exempt
Reports to : Vice President of Operations
Total Employee Count : 250
Total Independent Contractor Count: 300
Scope of Work
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall policies, procedures and compliance within the organization. While maintaining a family-orientated company culture, the HR Manager is ultimately responsible to ensure the company remains liability free and in total compliance with all labor laws and best practices.
Tasks include but are not limited to :
Ø Recruiting, onboarding and offboarding Employees in multiple companies within the organization 50%
o Special attention to transportation specific regulations (DOT)
Ø Creating, distributing and implementing policies, procedures, memos and keeping them current 5%
o Maintaining employee files
Ø Conflict Resolution 15%
o Investigation
o Documentation
o Coaching and discipline
Ø Oversight of team 15%
o Payroll/Benefit Coordinator
o Driver Recruiter
o Safety and Compliance Manger
Ø Organizing and executing company events 5%
o Holidays, Employee Appreciation, Etc.
Ø Union Grievances 5%
o Attending grievance meetings or arbitration when needed
Ø Processing medical leaves & Workers Compensation 5%
Experience
2-5 Years of Human Resource Management Required
5 years of Personnel Management experience Preferred
Member of SHRM Preferred
Education
Degree in Human Resource Management Preferred
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics and make informed recommendations.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes related to human resources functions.
- Familiarity with FMLA regulations and other employment laws.
- Proven experience in employee relations to foster a supportive workplace environment.
- Expertise in recruiting strategies and HR sourcing techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
