What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Munson Earth Moving Corp?
Munson Earth Moving Corp., a Vermont based site work/utility contractor is seeking a bright, self-motivated, organized individual with a background in Civil Engineering and preferably some related field experience to join our company and help us to continue to grow our business.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare accurate take offs of quantities utilizing digitizer/computer program.
· Evaluate bid documents, construction blueprints, subcontractor and material quotes.
· Provide other services such as attending pre-bid conferences, site visits and field measurements.
· Assist in Document Control and Project Management, as required.
· Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and engineers.
Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Civil Engineering or related construction industry) or a minimum 5 years of position-related experience along with an understanding of cost estimating.
· Have a thorough understanding of computer programs used in estimating and scheduling along with Word/Excel and Outlook.
· Have a thorough understanding of how to accurately read construction blueprints/specifications.
· Exceptional communication skills: written and verbal.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
· Organized individual committed to performing duties with detail and accuracy.
· Field experience in site work is a plus.
