Construction Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Construction Cost Accountant to impact and improve our corporate team. How can you help be a part of this exciting opportunity: Monitor project spending and make recommendations to improve the bidding process. Work closely with the project managers and office staff to identify and correct job cost discrepancies. Generate reports including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Work in Progress, and Job Cost. Review and maintain accurate project cost reporting, including – but not limited to committed costs, percentages billed to date for project budget and percentages billed to date for subcontractors. Investigate any unbilled project costs. Assist in auditing and closing out jobs. Timely completion of month-end closing processes. Assist the accounting team with various tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with concentration in accounting 2 years accounting experience in construction or real estate development Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including cost controls, job costing, and profit and loss accounting Ability to understand complex billing and job costing concepts Strong Computer Skills including Microsoft Dynamics & Excel Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.
