Position Overview
The Commercial Lease Manager is responsible for overseeing the leasing activities of commercial units nationwide, analyzing current and proposed lease rates and terms, fostering strong relationships with tenants and ensuring compliance with lease agreements. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of real estate market trends, an interest in problem-solving and a proactive approach to managing leasing operations to optimize property value and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lease Administration and Negotiation
- Negotiate, draft and review commercial lease agreements, amendments, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with lease terms, including rent, maintenance, and operational obligations.
- Coordinate with in-house legal counsel on drafting, complex lease issues or disputes.
- Research background of lease applicants.
Tenant Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, agents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.
- Manage tenant onboarding and lease termination processes efficiently.
- Conduct tenant meetings as needed to maintain strong relationships and address operational matters.
Financial and Operational Oversight
- Monitor rental income, escalations, and other financial terms to ensure accuracy and timely collection; pursue collection of past-due amounts.
- Analyze lease performance and recommend strategies to improve occupancy rates and profitability.
- Work closely with the property operations and asset-management teams to ensure facilities meet tenant needs.
- Recommend and implement best practices for recordkeeping and reporting.
Market Analysis and Strategy
- Conduct market research to assess competitive leasing trends and property positioning.
- Develop marketing strategies to attract and retain high-quality tenants.
- Collaborate with brokers and real estate professionals to identify prospective tenants.
Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain accurate lease records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure timely reporting to management and stakeholders on leasing activities and property performance.
Stay updated on real estate laws, zoning regulations, and market trends.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in commercial leasing or property management.
- Skills:
- Strong communication abilities.
- Analytical skills for financial analysis and market research.

- Experience with lease management software.
- Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations.

Compensation Range: $80,000- $105,000 yearly
