SUMMARY
Applies principles of cost accounting to analyze plant performance and financial information and prepare analytical reports by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and monitors daily manufacturing activities, including but not limited to scrap reporting, labor reporting and inventory stock status.
Prepares and circulates analytical performance reports tracking trends and establishing awareness for corrective actions to improve performance.
Participates with staff in walkabout, weekly cost review meetings and physical inventory planning and execution.
Acts as resources person for coordinators/leaders to answer questions about performance and floor measurables.
Devises and implements systems for improved cost analysis and accuracy of inventory.
Audits fixed assets in plant. Compares actual fixed assets to property records and works with corporate property accounting to maintain accurate records. Controls and assigns Nisco asset tags to new equipment. Tracks equipment from arrival to installation.
Monitors/trains personnel in following financial policies and procedures, develops new ones as needed.
Acts as back-up to Operations Controller
Prepares various accounting reports when needed, including monthly forecasts and annual budget.
Prepares all closing entries at month-end

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or a minimum of six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
