What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at NN, Inc.?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Practice safe working habits in all aspects of this position’s responsibilities
· Receive incoming shipments from material vendors, suppliers, outside service companies
· Verification of weight; pounds, grams, troy ounces. Ability to convert one unit of measure to another using formulas provided.
· Completing inspection report through purchase order specifications
· Ability to use measuring devices, handheld equipment (calipers, micrometer)
· Moving materials from stock to process completion
· Data Entry into our ERP system, transaction entry to and from work orders
· Movement of component items to the next step on work orders
· Communication skills keeping product moving between departments
· Print daily, weekly & monthly reports
· Check data from reports to verify accuracy
· Stock shelves and maintain order and inventory of supplies
· Perform various other shipping and receiving duties as required by Manager
· Perform various housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness of area
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, material prints and order specifications.
STRONG MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, including decimals.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or equivalent. Receiver position experience necessary with desire to achieve growth mindset in business.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply basic reasoning skills. Ability to understand carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands/arms; lift and/or lower; push and/or pull; and use hands to finger, handle, feel and/or finely manipulate objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Use of vision correction is acceptable, if necessary; however, any vision correction apparatus must meet all safety guidelines for the area of activity.
FREQUENT AND REPETITIVE HEAVY LIFTING OF UP TO 50LBS IS REQUIRED.
