Duties
- Lead and manage the collections team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Oversee account analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in collection efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including ICD-10 coding standards.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize recovery rates.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Monitor accounts for accuracy, including debits and credits, to ensure proper billing practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve disputes and improve overall account management.
- Train staff on medical billing processes, financial software usage, and best practices in collections.
