Part Time Bookkeeper

Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly

Robert Half is seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper for 25 hours per week in the Union County, NJ area. As a Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with managing payroll for a team of approximately 25, maintaining and reconciling accounts, as well as handling a variety of clerical tasks. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Operate swiftly and precisely to process purchase orders
• Manage payroll, ensuring accurate deductions, pensions, and retirement plans
• Handle petty cash box, register, and service desk live bills with care and precision
• Ensure checks approved at board meetings are correctly entered into the system
• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accuracy
• Manage both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Employ your skills in Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data
• Perform data entry tasks with attention to detail
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Bookkeeping role or similar position
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation practices and procedures
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is a must
• Strong knowledge of Bookkeeping principles and standards
• Excellent Data Entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Experience with Payroll processing and management, with an understanding of relevant laws and regulations
