The Opportunity
The CAD Tech is a highly productive role and is primarily responsible for the design and development of project documents using specified standards, while following specific processes and procedures. The position supports a variety of projects including land development, municipal, and highway design using AutoCAD Civil3D. This individual works in a collaborative team environment taking direction from project leaders.
Work Location: Hybrid option to Minnetonka office after onboarding phase
The qualified candidate will:
- Perform the necessary CAD drafting design tasks to prepare preliminary and final plans in accordance with client and Sambatek standards, while also performing calculations for the design
- Work diligently with project manager and design team to complete work within scope, budget, and on schedule
- Maintain and organize project files in the network project folder
- Complete specific quality control tasks at the direction of project leaders
- Provide exceptional service and quality through the development of our documents and deliverables
- Be collaborative and highly responsive in a team environment
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred in transportation, municipal, or land development fields)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment
- Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
