Growing Construction company located in North Houston is looking for a strong Construction Accountant to add to their team!
Focus includes:
- Compile and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to guarantee accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Support the development of budgets and forecasts by offering insights derived from financial data analysis.
- Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments, to ensure the general ledger accurately reflects financial information.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales tax, use tax, and income tax.
- Utilize Viewpoint software to improve financial processes, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Targeting candidates with:
-Degree in Accounting/Finance required
- 5 years of experience in a similar role/similar industry
-Strong understanding of WIP, job costing and revenue recognition
- Viewpoint is required.
- Offering $70-75k depending on experience
- On-site role but offering a hybrid flex schedule once fully trained
