The Role
The Sales Planning Manager is the primary point of contact for field sales teams and ensures that the voice of the customer and the channels are communicated effectively to the broader organization. The Sales Planning Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Category Management, Shopper Marketing, and Revenue Growth Management, to drive business objectives and align initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- In conjunction with field sales and upline management, this role will develop and deliver customer-specific plans and sales strategies that align with brand and business objectives.
- Represent field sales teams and customer needs within the broader commercial organization.
- Work collaboratively with category management, revenue growth management, and marketing teams to ensure consistent and aligned sales strategies.
- Participate in joint business planning with field sales, fostering partnerships to deliver company objectives.
- Monitor customer performance and sales trends to adjust strategies and drive business growth.
- Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to optimize sales and marketing initiatives.
- Support the execution of trade marketing and brand initiatives, ensuring they align with sales plans.
- Prepare sales forecasts, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3-5 years of experience as a customer account manager, customer marketing or related experiences.
- 3 years of experience in sales planning, strategy, or related roles within a CPG or retail industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across teams.
- Experience with sales forecasting, data analysis, and CRM tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to influence decision-making processes and collaborate with senior leadership.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is $95,000-$115,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
