This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and the Town may change these duties at any time. •Processes sales and use tax returns daily and inputs data; verifies for accuracy and makes necessary changes.•Responds to taxpayer inquiries and follows up to ensure customer satisfaction; informs supervisor of any issues that may arise from taxpayer questions and the status. •Assists vendors in preparation for returns; opens and closes vendor accounts. •Processes applications; initially reviews applications and requests any additional information; processes assessments and conducts courtesy calls to vendors concerning delinquencies; performs enforcement procedures. •Establishes and maintains electronic and paper vendor files; files returns and taxpayer correspondence; searches files and retrieves information; archives documents and data. •Processes journal vouchers for refunds and system adjustments, processes annual license renewal notices. •Assists in developing and updating Divisional procedures and policies. •Works with other departments on community event permits and serves on the committee as an approver for the Department.•Verifies taxpayer compliance for liquor license applications. •Performs other related duties as assigned.
