POSITION: Attendance Clerk
Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Principal
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: Working under general supervision, provide general attendance related clerical support for the site administrative and counseling team. Greet and assist parents, students, visitors, and staff.

Knowledge Of:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Monitors the day-to-day operations of student attendance.
● Maintain student attendance records and reports
● Maintains daily attendance accounting work required to keep accurate school attendance records.
● Prepares school attendance reports and lists for supervisor(s).
● Complies and computes data and prepares a variety of records, reports, and other correspondence related to student attendance matters and reporting.
● Maintain attendance records, attendance letters, and attendance data as well as communications with parents.
● Provides assistance to parents, students, visitors, and staff as necessary.
● Provide clerical support to the administrative team and guidance staff.
● Receive all incoming telephone calls and direct the calls to the proper person, or take and deliver an accurate message.
● Updates school attendance documents.
● Make student IDs. (as needed per school site)
● Assist with Safety Drills.
● May be required to call for emergency assistance.
● Willingly and professionally assist staff and principal with specific tasks as directed by the Principal.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Cross train with Head Secretary to provide back-up only if necessary (enrollment, withdrawal, report cards, transcripts, etc.).
● Acting School Health Assistant; back-up to Nurse.
● Complete BOY and EOY teacher check-in and check-out; Update and maintain school inventory records.
● Maintain key inventory; provide new staff with all needed keys, as approved by Principal.
● Assist with the acceptance and distribution of mail and other correspondence.
● Maintain and submit work orders to Maintenance Direct.
● Process and maintain files on Transportation Requests.
● Provide assistance to the administrative team as requested.
● Monitor all fundraisers for compliance with Business Office procedures.
● Collect, record, and deposit funds from students, parents, and staff members.
● Assist with student parking space process (issuing parking passes, and collecting money)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds on occasion), reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving light furniture may be required.
SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:
● Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions.
● Follows ergonomic lifting practices.
● Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED Certification preferred.
EQUIPMENT / MATERIAL HANDLED:
Must know how to properly operate multimedia equipment including current technology.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work within various degrees of noise and temperature. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility, professionalism, respect and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision.
