What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at Utility Line Services, Inc.?
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for assisting in the completion of invoicing and financial reporting to support the Finance & Accounting Department to ensure that on-going reporting requirements are met with a high standard of excellence. This position is also responsible for processing daily production and the tracking of unbilled revenue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Weekly progress billing for both time and equipment and contract units jobs
- Generate customer invoices in accordance with contract requirements on required systems
- Adjust change orders from estimates to actuals
- Accumulate timesheets, approvals, and subcontractor invoices
- Produce and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track billing for work performed
- Work with operations to ensure overages are captured as a change order
- Track and manage price increases
- Update weekly profitability and invoice status reports
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat skills
- Detail-oriented
- Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines
- Clear, efficient, and professional written and verbal communication skills
