The Recruiter and Employee Engagement Coordinator is paramount in building an employee-centric workplace culture at Valley Landscaping. This position is a vital member of the Operations team and will build and adapt practices that advance how we recruit, welcome, develop, and foster belonging, and engage employees. We’re looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, creative person who can help us create meaningful moments of connection throughout the candidate and employee experience. This role will help design and execute the activities and events that bring our core values to life, connect our teams across functions, and elevate the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Building a Talent Pipeline and Onboarding
- ·Identifying top talent by working with candidates and hiring managers on navigating the intake, sourcing, interview, offer and onboarding processes; ensuring positions are filled in a timely manner.
- Continuously source active and passive candidates and maintain/update our applicant tracking system.
- Identify best channels for advertising job vacancies such as social media outlets, job boards, professional associations, recruitment events.
- Create and manage marketing materials for attracting and retaining top talent.
- Attending job fairs and other engagement events.
- Manage the hire and onboarding process for all new employees.
Employee Engagement
- Initiate and conduct employee onboarding and exit surveys.
- Manage activities to enhance employee work experience and impact across the division.
- Leverage internal communication vehicles to ensure employee awareness, understanding, and participation in programs.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop or enhance internal communications tools to enable process improvement related to increasing engagement and building an inclusive, supportive workplace.
- Assist with events and projects associated with organizational culture development.
- Coordinate employee appreciation activities.
Program Management
- Drive adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization.
- Coordinate execution in accordance with project plans, tools, and methods, and support resource planning and acquisition.
- Support short and long-term goals, KPIs, and objectives, and develop and coordinate execution against bi-annual operational plan.
Program Metrics/Analytics
- ·Assist with the annual employee engagement, and manage roundtables, exit, and pulse surveys; analyze and distribute results.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses answering key business questions, covering all aspects of the program impact and ROI/efficiency.
- ·Monitor key metrics and understand root causes of changes/trends.
- Present findings in easily understood ways, focusing on insights and aiding in decision making.
`Required Qualifications
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- Familiarity with recruiting processes and best practices
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Working technical knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
- Experience using social media outlets for recruitment, such as really, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Glassdoor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Experience creating great experiences: event planner, talent coordinator, etc.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive employee information.
Preferred
- Associates degree in Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field
- Experience with data particularly maintaining, understanding, interpreting, and forecasting data OR comparable data analysis experience.
- Experience developing and implementing projects and change initiatives.
- HR experience in green industry experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
