What You’ll Do
- Provide top-notch care for shelter dogs, including feeding, cleaning, bathing, walking, and administering medications.
- Create enrichment opportunities to keep dogs happy and mentally stimulated.
- Work closely with adoptive families to match them with their perfect pet.
- Keep the facility clean, organized, and ready to welcome both visitors and animals.
- Partner with our Communications Team to showcase our adoptable dogs through personalized descriptions and photos.
Work Schedule & Details
- Hours: 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with a half-hour lunch break.
- Open Positions: Two part-time roles available (30 hours per week).
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: While 1–2 years of experience working with dogs is preferred, we welcome anyone with a passion for animal care.
- Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
- Dedication: A commitment to the SPCA’s mission and creating a respectful, inclusive environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable with an active role that includes lifting up to 40 pounds and handling dogs of all sizes.
