The Kennel Technician plays a critical role in caring for the canine residents at the York County SPCA. In addition to providing enrichment activities for the dogs, the Kennel Tech is responsible for the general care and maintenance of both large and small dogs including feeding, cleaning, walking, disinfecting, grooming, vaccinating, and medicating shelter animals. Kennel Techs are also responsible for doing laundry and washing dishes for the animals. Kennel Techs become well acquainted with shelter animals and provide detailed animal descriptions to help facilitate adoptions.
Our Kennel Technicians work 10 hour days (with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch) from 6am - 4:30pm. Sundays are required.
