The job As our new Head of External Communication & PR, you will be responsible for shaping and executing FOSS’ external communication strategy, including media relations. From idea to execution, you will ensure a strong and coherent corporate narrative across all channels. You will be part of the Corporate Communications team, which oversees internal and external communication, media relations, social media, public affairs, and CEO support. Reporting to the Director of Communication & Public Relations, you will work closely with our Head of Social Media and EA to the CEO & Head of Internal Communication. Additionally, you will collaborate across functions, including Marketing, HR, Sustainability, and Finance, to align communication efforts with business objectives. Your role will be based at FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød, the hub for FOSS' global operations across 34 countries. Your primary responsibilities Craft compelling stories that reinforce FOSS’ position as a global market leader and support our strategic objectives Develop and execute media relations efforts, including press releases, media outreach, and proactive storytelling Lead the development of a new external communication & PR strategy to enhance FOSS’ visibility and reputation Take ownership of key storytelling initiatives, ensuring a strong narrative throughout the year and integrating them into our annual report About you We’re looking for a passionate writer who thrives on crafting compelling communication and shaping strategic messaging. This is a hands-on role focused on writing and executing communication projects from concept to completion, with no employee management responsibilities. To succeed, you should be self-driven, proactive, and able to navigate a fast-paced, global environment with a keen eye for detail and storytelling. You thrive on crafting compelling narratives from the heart of the business, working closely with our CEO and Corporate Management. Your expertise in writing ensures that FOSS’ key messages reach the right audience at the right time, strengthening our brand and corporate narrative. You enjoy collaborating with different departments and take pride in delivering high-quality, impactful communication. Who are you? We imagine that you: Have experience in corporate communication or journalism, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation Have a deep passion for writing and storytelling, with the ability to craft engaging narratives for different audiences and channels in both English and Danish Understand the media landscape and have experience building strong relationships with journalists, securing media coverage in Denmark and internationally Are fluent in English and Danish, with strong intercultural communication skills Are curious, proactive, and solution-oriented, thriving in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines—and great colleagues!
