I am looking for PhD Optical Design Researchers.

I am working with a global leading Tech Company who are looking for talented Researchers to join their team in Jena.

We focus on optical telecommunication use cases (optical subsystems for switches, optical wireless), automotive (AR-HUD, headlamp design, displays), illumination, industrial lasers, optical metrology, optical coating design & other optical subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Perform research & development in the field of optical technologies, optical systems & architectures
• Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through research & pre-development, up to proof of concept & prototyping

Qualifications

• PhD in optical engineering, physics, or related fields
• Proven experiences in designing optical systems for imaging, illumination, VR/AR display applications
• Proficiency with optical design & simulation software: Zemax, CodeV, Oslo, etc
• Strong theoretical knowledge in geometrical, diffractive & physical optics
