Lead Software Engineer

We’re hiring on behalf of a leading AI and robotics company, seeking an experienced Lead Fullstack Developer to help shape their technical direction, make key architectural decisions, and drive engineering excellence. In this role, you’ll design and build cutting-edge software that powers intelligent systems, while leading a high-performing development team within the client’s organisation.

Key Responsibilities ❕

• Architect and develop scalable fullstack applications using the MEVN (MongoDB, Express.js, Vue.js, Node.js) stack.
• Design and implement microservices architectures for scalability and flexibility.
• Optimise performance and maintainability through software architecture best practices.
• Collaborate with the client’s AI & Robotics teams to integrate intelligent features and automation (prior experience not required — curiosity is key).
• Lead and mentor a team of developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Champion development best practices including security, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Required Qualifications 💭

• 7 years of Fullstack development experience with a strong architectural focus.
• Deep expertise in Vue.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and Express.js.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture, API design, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong background in software architecture, scalability, and performance optimisation.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and elevate engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to decision-making.
• A passion for AI and robotics, and enthusiasm for collaborating with domain experts.
