POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator, Security is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day Security functions, ensuring that the company policies, Security Standard Operating Procedures and Cyprus Gaming Commission regulations are followed and complied. Coordinates, collaborates, communicates, monitors and assists the Security Department Personnel with any internal and/or external service request. Responsible for providing all stakeholders of Security projects and functions with support for various associated tasks. The Coordinator, Security should always display the highest level of professionalism and customer service for both internal and external customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with other departments to establish communication and maintain great rapport
Organises and communicates systems and procedures to improve efficiency and the effectiveness of service delivery, to both internal and external customers, consistent with MELCO’s visions and values
Keeps abreast of technical development, recommends new technology which ensures best practice and/or improves the effectiveness of the operations
Asist with the development, and revision of company and department policies, procedures and internal control manuals to ensure compliance and recommend changes to improve work practices and/or better meet the needs of the business in collaboration with Security Management.
Undertake internal projects and ensures timeframes and requests are dealt with an efficient and effective manner
Communicates with Security Personnel to ensure high standards of team communication and collaboration are delivered
Coordinate and organize company’s events in collaboration with the IRT/EP and H&S Management
Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments as required from Health & Safety Officer
Coordinates with office administrative tasks such as data entry, typing, filing, drafting letters, memos and faxes
Organises and Translates documents and memos as required
Ensures all office supplies are in stock and office equipment is in good working order.
Works closely with Supply Chain department for handling, tracking and organizing purchasing requests
Inputs data from Security Department internal audits and collates statistical information
Coordinate the Security Licence Procedure in collaboration with the person register to the Chief of Police as Office Manager of the Security Entity.
Updates internal database with Security Department personnel information
Updates Security Department Notice boards with current Customer Service information or other promotional information
Assist in collecting forms and documents for successful candidates
Assist on Scheduling interviews and organize the interview rooms
Receive employee matters and redirect them to the appropriate person for resolution.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures
Undertakes tasks as required by the Director, Security
Uses cultural awareness and understanding whilst maintaining effective standards of written and verbal communication with staff and customers in the workplace
Performs other duties as directed in accordance with all Policies and Procedures, laws and regulations, applicable to the Department and the property
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Knowledge of relevant Casino and Security Laws & Regulations
Statutory and departmental regulations are complied
Incidents reports and debriefs are conducted in a timely manner
Operational effectiveness
Customer service standards
Reports statistics and information relating to the operational areas of the department
Daily requests from departments are handled in a timely and satisfactory manner
Assigned duties are completed within a reasonable time frame
Shows initiative in assisting where necessary without having to be assigned duties
Proves to be hardworking, responsible, and able to handle and provide solutions to any ad hoc problems which may arise
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business or Office Operations with proven experience as a Coordinator or in a Managerial role.
Experience in an administration role, preferably in the hospitality industry
Education
High School Graduate
Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management and/or Business Administration will be considered as an advantage
Skills / Competencies
Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
Excellent knowledge of Security protocols and procedures
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Has a strong work ethic
Organizational Skills and attention to detail

Ability to work flexible working hours and respond after hours in the event of an emergency
