Title: Construction Manager / Lead (CSA) - Pharmaceutical Projects

Overview:
The Construction Manager / Lead (CSA) oversees the execution of the CSA Scope, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project schedules. Responsibilities include managing pre-construction activities, subcontractors, and liaising with design teams. This senior role drives best-in-class construction procedures and ensures efficient project delivery.
The ideal candidate needs to have a valid visa/citizenship to work in Ireland/Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed reviews and liaise with design and client workgroup leads.
- Lead constructability reviews across all aspects of the build.
- Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents for trade contract procurement.
- Assist in the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
- Review returned CSA bids and prepared Tender Bid Analysis (TBA).
- Stay updated with trade and industry developments.
- Develop detailed execution strategies for CSA construction.
- Provide input into CHSP, QA/TO, and General Construction Requirement documentation.
- Assist in schedule development and lead Interactive Planning (IAP) sessions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the construction phase is equipped with skilled personnel, tools, and resources.
- Oversee subcontractor management, focusing on safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Develop and implement site execution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with our client’s construction methods, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Monitor and enforce statutory and legal compliance requirements.
- Stay updated with construction industry advancements to enhance the Organisation’s capabilities.
- Ensure projects are executed per design specifications, quality standards, and cost budgets.
- Direct and supervise assigned construction staff, including superintendents and trade supervisors.
- Conduct staff assessments and appraisals per the Company’s policies.
- Identify training needs for supervisory personnel and recommend solutions.
- Promote the use of innovative construction technologies and methodologies.
- Document and share lessons learned from projects.
- Adhere to the Organisation’s labor policies and ensure labor relations align with agreements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all Site CSA staff, including construction superintendents, trade supervisors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Significant years of experience in a similar role.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Biotech/Pharma construction.
Skills:
- Strong multi-disciplinary knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and personnel effectively.
