Hartley People Recruitment in partnership with our client are hiring for an EUC Workplace Manager in Kilkenny.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the end-user computing strategy within a dynamic organization. Reporting to the IT Transformation Manager, the EUC Workplace Manager will oversee all aspects of end-user technologies and services, driving innovation and ensuring optimal performance across Microsoft 365, unified communications, messaging, and collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the operating plan and budget for the end-user computing and Microsoft 365 environment.
Drive the design, configuration, and deployment of endpoint technologies (e.g., desktops, laptops) in distributed settings.
Collaborate with Managed Service Providers to ensure effective software distribution, patch management, and resolution of service issues in line with SLAs.
Oversee performance and reliability of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
Ensure security, compliance, and operational efficiency within the Microsoft 365 environment.
Manage unified communications and collaboration services to ensure availability, security, and reliability.
Participate in projects where end-user computing and Microsoft 365 are key components.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective use of Microsoft 365.
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures.
Advise on license optimization and ensure adherence to best practices.
Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions for Microsoft 365.
Maintain the Software Asset Management tool with up-to-date and relevant information.
Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to identify needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Provide education and promote best practices around licensing and compliance.
Key Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in End User Computing services, with at least 5 years managing third-party suppliers and service levels.
Proven leadership skills, with 3 years’ experience managing and motivating high-performing teams.
ITIL Service Management certification (v3 ), or equivalent expertise.
In-depth knowledge of EUC Workplace technologies and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Strong understanding of security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and disaster recovery processes.
Proven experience in process design, improvement, and implementation.
Analytical problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
A collaborative team player with a growth mindset.
