Diesel Fitter for Iceland

Are you a Plant fitter

We are looking for several to join our company in several locations around Iceland

Just to be clear this position is in Iceland and not on the road in Ireland,

really do not have a drop down for Iceland

We are looking for those with a long term view and wishes to relocate to Iceland to work directly for the client

Iceland has a great many assets to be enjoyed and is enjoying massive growth,

Only EU citizen passport holders may apply, We automatically delete any applicant who does not fit passport criteria and we do not except European work visas

This is only for those with minimum 3 years experience with Diesel fitter experience

Maintenance of our machines and equipment in regards of painting and keeping them up to standard

We need someone who can work completely independent

• All Salary is paid in ISK and is based on experience and numbers quoted are before tax and in Icelandic Krona, rates in Euro are at todays exchange rate and are not a guarantee of future euro exchanges due to market exchange rates
• Starting salary is from 736.000isk (Euro 4800) for 160 hours per month,
• Overtime is based times day hourly rate x 1.60 6500ISK in euro 50
• All salary has 10% holiday added to salary
• plus pension is added to salary

Persons must be able to communicate in English but not perfect

Working hours are as follows for each part of the country

• Husavik in the north of Iceland range from 1 Monday to Thursday 0800 - 1800 and Friday 0800 to 15:00 with overtime ranging from 15 to 40 hours a month,
• Reyðarfjörður in the east of Iceland, Working hours are 8-17:00, overtime according to project status but normally plenty in the eastHafnarfjörður capital area Working hours are 8-16:00, overtime according to project status

All housing is provided at costs below which is deducted from Salaries, single rooms

• Husavik housing is priced at 90.000kr.- ISK or around 600 euro per month everything inclusive. Great housing – detached house with three apartments where two people are in each.
• Reyðarfjörður housing is from 75000kr to 90000kr around Euro 500 to 600 per month , each room has a private shower
• Hafnarfjörður housing is priced at 110.000kr. or 730 euro - ISK everything inclusive. Great housing

Flights are reimbursed after 3 months of continues work,

domestic flights are paid for by client,

transport provided in the Husavik to and from work

Captial area and Reyðarfjöður

car provided for 3 months to help you get on your feet,

great lunches are provided in works canteen at 1100isk or 7sih euro

You will be working

• Our Service workshop, composed of factory maintenance, mobile equipment maintenance,
• fishing sector services including ships and boats,
• engine services
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs of heavy equipment and machinery.
• We currently hold dealerships for Hyster forklifts, Magni telehandlers, MAFI towing equipment, Tennant cleaning equipment and service other brands, such as Manitou, Linde, Konecranes, Kalmer etc.
