Pottery Assistant

Our company is a young but fast growing decorative lighting manufacturing company who is expanding rapidly into International markets. As part of on-going development plans the company now wishes to appoint a Ceramics Assistant to join our Ceramics Design team.

The successful candidate will be required to work alongside our experienced ceramicist to produce ceramics for our lighting collections. In addition to developing bespoke and new designs as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the production of ceramics for our existing collection.
• Assist with research, design and creation of new products.
• Develop prototypes for clients with bespoke design requirements

• Must be able to multitask a number of varying projects
• Have good teamwork skills while also working well on own initiative
• Work well under deadlines and have time management skills
• Must be willing to work with a high pressure environment
• Accept responsibility and accountability for projects assigned to them

Required Criteria

• Knowledge of ceramics equipment and processes

• Knowledge of firing electric kilns preferred
