Position Overview: 10 Roads Express is looking for a motivated, high energy Driver Recruiter I. Previous recruiting, sales experience, or high volume in/outbound calls is highly desired. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced working environment and enjoy pursuing and closing a deal. Multi-tasking and attention to detail is imperative!
Work Location: Harrisonburg, VA
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls from job applicants. Make outgoing calls to potential driver candidates.
- Schedule and conduct initial interviews, then schedules further interviews with Senior Recruiters and other stakeholders to determine if they are a good fit for the position and organization.
- Complete recruiting and onboarding processes for assigned job requisitions. Partner with Senior Recruiters to determine search strategy for specific requisitions, execute established strategy, evaluate results, and readjust tactics as needed to ensure capture of talent needed to fill the open position.
- Proactively candidate updates to hiring managers of all job Reqs. Utilize teammates and managers as needed.
- Contact and screen applicants for basic qualifications, while complying with DOT regulations, other applicable state and federal laws and USPS guidelines.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending start dates.
- Ensures completion of pertinent details and new hire paperwork processes to onboard the driver. Prepares and sends out all new hire paperwork materials.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Onboard new hires into the company’s history, culture, and individual job roles.
- Utilize company Dashboard Tracking System to document all communication with potential candidates and 10 Roads Express management.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
- Prepare letters and spreadsheets as requested.
- Fax/copy/scan/email/file documents.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior sales experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the public, maintain confidentiality in daily operations and conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Experience with DOT regulations and transportation experience a plus.
