What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant/Paralegal position at 11th Judicial District Attorney?
We are seeking qualified Legal Assistant/Paralegals to join our team. Our office is committed to our community. Our mission is to administer justice and advocacy for victims. We work closely with local and state law enforcement agencies, the DOC, and the citizens in this community to deter and prevent crime. The office has a staff of 35 employees comprised of attorneys, investigators, victim advocates and support personnel.
This position is responsible for helping attorneys and other legal professionals prepare for trials or court cases. Their duties include answering phone calls and greeting victim/witnesses, contributing to fact-checking and compiling case evidence and communicating with court employees to confirm court dates.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of paralegal experience.
- Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Working knowledge of computer programs/databases.
- One-year clerical experience in a legal environment

Pay: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
